Holiday Park - Alligator Hunt

Grandma and Grandpa took us on an exciting adventure to hunt for alligators today. Here we are on our first airboat ride. It was so much fun - it went super fast!!
We spotted a Blue Heron - but no alligators yet.

Haylee searching for alligators in the everglades.
Maybe Kelsee will have a little better luck finding a gator.
We spotted a beautiful peacock - no alligator yet.

Can you believe the raccoon's name is Scottie??!!
I think we spotted an alligator - look Kelsee!!

WATCH OUT!!!!

Dania Pier Christmas Day 2008

This was Kelsee's first fishing trip to Dania pier - so exciting!!
Haylee's a pro - she went fishing here with her Daddy on her fourth birthday back in 2005.

Eww - stinky shrimp.
So disgusting - Haylee thought it was so much fun helping her Daddy peel the shrimp for bait.
Here's how you do it Kelsee - watch me!
Haylee caught a fish - Can you see it??!!
Kelsee's turn - she's gonna catch a big one
Kelsee's first fish - so much bigger than Haylee's!!!

Christmas 2008

Haylee and Kelsee right before Christmas Eve Service.
Haylee and Kelsee with Grandma and her chocolates - We couldn't wait until Christmas day to give them to her because Kelsee spilled the beans as soon as we walked in the door.
Kelsee: "Hey Grandma - I'm not supposed to tell you that we got you lots of chocolates for Christmas!" Forget about secrets with this child.

A Day at the Beach

The girls were so excited to go to the beach - it's been a really long time since we've been to the Ocean. The water was actually warm too - so strange for it to be December 22nd and be enjoying 80 degree weather. They had a blast.

The Fort Lauderdale version of Santa and Mrs. Claus

Don't you love Santa's beach sleigh??!!

More Fun on the Beach

So you're probably wondering why the heck the girls are dressed up and swimming in the ocean right??!! I was told we were going down "by the beach" to meet Santa and get the girls' pictures taken. Santa was actually on the beach - and forget about keeping these girls out of the water. I have to admit I was a little freaked out at first - but it was a blast watching them play in the ocean - totally worth the ruined outfits. That's what washers are for right?!

mmm - gotta love sand in your mouth

Don't you love the look on her face - she's having such a great time!!

What would the day be without Kelsee going into her "crazy" mode

Haylee my sand monster - she discovered that was not such a good idea.

Sand in the butt crack...not too comfortable.

They were both cracking us up - watching the waves crash over them. The water was so much warmer than the Pacific Ocean we're used to.

On our way to Florida

Waiting for our plane to Florida - only a 3 hour delay - we got in to Fort Lauderdale at 2:30 am
Haylee riding in the shuttle on the way to the airport

Kelsee's so excited - this is her first airplane ride since she was just a little baby.
