Halloween fun...

Haylee in her "Spider Bride" Costume. I've obviously lost complete control over costume choices with her this year. Daddy told her she could be a Phantom Ghost with blood squirting out of her mouth - Mommy had a temper tantrum right in the middle of the aisle in Walmart!! We compromised with this.
The girls were invited to a Halloween party - they got to go bobbing for apples. Haylee wants to do it everyday at home now!
Kelsee still loves her princess costumes - for now...
Haylee's turn to bob for apples

Kelsee didn't know she wasn't supposed to use her hands...

I'm in big trouble - I had my camera all ready on Halloween night and didn't shoot one single picture. I didn't realize this until 11pm - too late. Luckily I had taken these pictures at the Halloween party the week before. I guess we were having too much fun!! The girls went trick or treating with the neighbor boys of course and Kelsee's friend Athena got to come along too. We had a BBQ with the neighbors in our driveway while the kids' burned off all the candy. Gotta love Texas in October!

Fall Festivals

We got our fill of Fall Festivals this year - at least Scott and I did!! We went to one at the church and one at Haylee's school. They were both tons of fun! Haylee got her face painted at the church carnival - she's supposed to be a cat!

Kelsee trying out the climbing wall. She made it a little higher this time than last time!
Going for a "Train Ride" behind the tractor

Haylee working her way up the climbing wall. She loves this stuff!
The girls riding on the tractor train together
Kelsee riding on the pony at the Fall Festival at Haylee's School. They can't get enough of these crazy animals.
Haylee's turn on the pony. She brought home a horse riding magazine from school the next week....oh no she isn't!....our backyard is big - but not big enough for a horse!

It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood...

Haylee and Kelsee catching a ride down the street in the neighbors wagon.
Haylee and Kelsee with their buddy Brandon.

The girls with our neighbor Brandon
Kelsee with her two best buddies - Brandon and Jimmie

This is our favorite part about Texas - it's the end of October and everyday after school the girls get to play outside for at least two hours. The weather is beautiful!! They get along great with the boys next door - I'm surprised they haven't gotten sick of each other yet!

Seussical Musical

Haylee had her second grade musical at school tonight - "The Seussical Musical" full of songs inspired by Dr. Seuss books.

Haylee singing away - I think the actions were her favorite part though!

Here's a little sample from the concert - sorry the videographer is pretty bad!

The Pumpkin Patch

We made it out to the Pumpkin Patch today to pick out pumpkins for the girls.
"These Pumpkins aren't right- we need bigger ones!"
The girls were so excited to get to ride horses - So much fun!!
Look at me! Look at me!!

Here I go - Watch out now!
Haylee's been waiting all summer for this!

She's loving it!

Kelsee gets to go to a party without Haylee!!

For the past few years - we've been dealing with the older sister being invited to all the birthday parties and the baby having to stay home. Oh the tantrums! Try explaining to a three year old that one day she'll get her turn. I remember those exact words coming from my mom - it didn't work for me either!

Her she is - finally getting her turn - A Birthday Party Without Haylee!

She was the bravest girl there!

The little sweet pea also remembered how her big sis would bring home the treat bags and not share - she went straight up to Haylee when we got home and gave her a candy from her bag. I sure hope this quality sticks with her!
